Casino Night Raises $3000 for Alzheimer's Assoc.
July 20, 2009
On Friday, July 17th, Heritage Estates hosted it's second annual Casino Night. This year, the event was a benefit for the Alzheimer's Association and $3000 in donations was raised. The event was co-sponsored by Campo di Bocce, Rosewood Gardens & Memory Care, Madeline Walker - Real Estate Agent, Hope Hospice, Professional Home Care Associates, Pleasanton Nursing and Rehab and From the Heart Homecare. Over 30 gift baskets from local business were donated for the raffle drawing and the grand prize of a Las Vegas getaway was donated by Heritage Estates and won by a resident's daughter. Poker, craps, roulette and black jack tables were jammed all night with residents and guests, except when they were sampling Heritage Estate Chef's lavish spread! The event was a great success in that everyone had a great time, but more importantly that $3000 was raised for the Alzheimer's Association. Residents and staff of Heritage plan on walking in the Memory Walk, also to benefit the Association, in October. Look for more details to follow.
“The best thing I ever did was move in to Heritage Estates. I've made some great friends and the staff is unbelievable. They do everything to make our home enjoyable. If I want or need something I just ask and they take care of it. And there is always something to do, such as the wonderful entertainment and classes to learn new things. Our day trips are fun, and what fabulous parties we've had! As far as I'm concerned, no one could live at a better place.”
